In 2024, Zach, along with his three partners founded Reflective Works, a design and technology startup focused on the future of human interface design and artificial intelligence.

From 2014 to 2024, Zach led Meta’s global brand design practice, where his team is designing for the future of connection. He was responsible for the global brand design and expression of Meta, Reality Labs, Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Meta sub brands. 

In 2023, he led the launch of Meta Reality Lab’s iconic products including Quest 3, culture defining Ray-Ban Meta glasses, Meta Ai, Meta Horizon, Meta retail and digital.

In 2021, he led a small internal team, working directly with Mark Zuckerberg, to re-brand the company to Meta. Over a short five month sprint, his team successfully transformed Meta for the next chapter of human connection.

Over his ten years at Meta, he founded and built Meta’s brand design practice, institutionalized brand thinking, developed dozens of design patents, scaled products to billions of people, developed global brand campaigns and helped define Meta’s portfolio of brands.

Prior to Meta, Zach has partnered with startups, advertising agencies and nonprofits to build global brands. He has worked in think tanks with Eric Schmidt, branded Cats of Instagram, and was a principle designer at GOAT (previously Grubwithus).

In 2013, he concluded his time on the historic Obama 2012 re-election campaign as a lead designer.

He grew up in the Ohio rust belt studying art, design, computer engineering and printmaking.
